Chungdokwan is one of the largest Taekwondo organisations in Great Britain, with 21 separate clubs, a full time purpose built Dojang and well over 500 registered students. The European Chungdokwan Headquarters are situated in Ferryhill, Co. Durham with the majority of clubs based in the north east of England. In recent years Chungdokwan has expanded outside the UK and now has clubs established in Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Dubai, India, Ireland, Malaysia, Pakistan and Portugal.
Chungdokwan is dedicated to the development and furtherance of Taekwondo as a martial art, both nationally and internationally, with the ideal that Taekwondo is for everyone regardless of age, gender, ability or race.
The president of Chungdokwan is Grand Master David Jordinson 8th Dan.
Master David has spent over half his life teaching Taekwondo the traditional way, as was passed on to him by his instructor. He teaches every aspect of Taekwondo, but believes that his most important teachings are in the spirit of the martial art that is embodied in the tenets of Taekwondo and the teachings of the ancients.
